Jessica is an artist and licensed Tattoo Artist located in Davenport, Iowa.

Working in the beauty industry since 2004, including over a decade as a freelance makeup artist, I became a certified Permanent Makeup Artist and Licensed Tattoo Artist in 2019 following my initial hands on training in Chicago. Very quickly after my initial training, I completed additional education, training and certifications to reinforce my knowledge in brow artistry, microblading and permanent makeup.

My first studio space for J Friedrichs opened in Bettendorf, Iowa at the end of 2019. I survived a Covid shut down in the spring of 2020, then went on to finish 2020 on a high note focused permanent makeup and makeup artistry for special events and commercial work.

Late in 2020, I discovered a more delicate style of fine line or single needle tattooing and quickly became obsessed. In March of 2021 I traveled to Utah to learn and train hands on in this style with another artist, and I am so grateful I did. Not long after returning to my studio, I began offering Fine Line Tattoos. I am so thankful for all those that have supported me as I have continued to learn and grow in this art and I can’t WAIT to continue to challenge myself and push for growth.

These days I am fully focused on tattooing and other artwork, like my tattooed hats and other wearable art as well as print work. My brain is always on fire with new ideas and ways to share art. I LOVE being able to offer a safe, cozy and private environment for clients to get tattooed. I’m honored to be trusted with so many important projects.
