How do I book a tattoo?

Books typically open for 2-3 months at a time and inquiries are taken through email only during an announced date. Please watch social media for updates on the booking process and for dates when booking will begin again.

What is your minimum rate?

My minimum rate is currently $125 and a deposit is required to book.

Do you take walk ins?

No, I do not. My studio is a private studio and all tattoos are by appointment only.

What are your hours?

Hours and days vary a little during the week. I do have some weekday evening availability as well as some Saturdays. I do not take appointments on Sundays.

How do I get a quote for a tattoo?

Quotes and estimates are given during the booking process and are generally based on the size, detail and placement of your tattoo.

Do you do color?

The quick answer is no. I will occasionally do a “pop” of color to a piece for fun, but generally my focus is on black and grey.

Can I get a tattoo under 18 years old with parental permission?

No. All clients must be a minimum of 18 years old according to the Iowa law.

Do you do cover ups?

No, I do not. The style of tattooing that I offer is a more delicate and soft style and is not conducive for covering up other work.

Do you design the pieces yourself?

Yes. I will use your inspo or reference photos as well as descriptions to create something unique for you.

When will I see my design?

I will send a rough draft of the piece we are working on for you in the days leading up to your appointment (typically in the 2 days prior). This will leave time for changes as needed before your appointment. At your appointment then, we will finalize size and placement and make any small changes to your design if needed. Complete changes to concept may result in a reschedule.

Can I numb before my appointment?

Sure! But, please give me heads up so that I know. Numbing can change the texture of your skin, so please just give me heads up.

I live far away. Can you design a tattoo for my local artist?

I’m sorry, that’s not something I offer at this time.

Can you draw my design first before I decide to book?

No, I’m sorry. I only design tattoos for those that are booked with a deposit paid to cover drawing time.

Can I bring someone with me to my appointment?

Yes, absolutely!

What kinds of payments do you take?

I accept cash, cards and Venmo. If you are paying in cash, please know that I don’t always have exact change down to the dollar or penny. :)
